Dr. JohnsonIs my right hon. and learned Friend aware that his reply is almost identical with that which he gave me eight or nine months ago when I last asked him the question? Can he now state a date when we can expect the result of this long-awaited inquiry?
§ Mr. Walker-SmithMy hon. Friend, with his characteristic generosity, has slightly understated the interval of time. This is a complex medical and statistical undertaking. I am sorry that my hon. Friend has had to wait longer than we had hoped, but we expect the work to be completed early next year, and I am sure that it will serve a useful purpose.
