The VICE-CHAMBERLAIN OF THE HOUSE-HOLD reported Her Majesty's Answer to the Address, as follows:

I have received your Address praying that I will give directions that a Monument be erected at the public charge to the Memory of the late Marshal of the Royal Air Force the Viscount Trenchard, G.C.B., O.M., G.C.V.O., D.S.O., D.C.L., LL.D., as an expression of the admiration of the House of Commons for his illustrious career and its gratitude for his devoted services to the State.

I will gladly give directions for carrying into effect your proposal to do honour to the Memory of that great man to whom our Royal Air Force and our Country owe so much.
