asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if his attention has been drawn to the successful use of passenger-carrying helicopters in Brussels and other Continental cities; and what plans are in hand to develop this method of transportation in London and other parts of Great Britain.

Yes, Sir. The introduction of air services is a matter for the commercial judgment of airlines, but I understand that B.E.A. intend to introduce helicopter services from London when suitable multi-engined aircraft are available.

Will my right hon. Friend bear in mind the value of this kind of transportation for cities based within reasonable distance of each other, like Norwich, Birmingham and Bristol.
