§ The Joint Under-Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. Niall Macpherson)While my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade is primarily responsible for making official arrangements for Commonwealth trade representatives who visit this country under the sponsorship of their Governments, my right hon. Friend will be very glad to co-operate in making them welcome to Scotland at any time, and so, I know, will the Scottish Council (Development and Industry).
§ Mr. Clark HutchisonIs my hon. Friend aware of the great amount of good will there is in all the Dominions towards Scotland, and will he, not the President of the Board of Trade, take 206 the initiative in this matter? Does he realise that by some bold imagination we have a chance here of helping Scotland to help herself?
§ Mr. MacphersonMy right hon. Friend is aware of the considerations that my hon. Friend mentioned, but this is a matter primarily for the President of the Board of Trade.
