HC Deb 10 March 1958 vol 584 c12
7. Dr. D. Johnson

asked the Minister of Health why he has refused the application of Mrs. Jessie Smith, 64, Lowther Street, Carlisle, for inclusion in the list of medical auxiliaries kept by his Department under Section 3 of the National Health Service (Medical Auxiliaries) Regulations, 1954; whether he is aware that Mrs. Jessie Smith has practised as a chiropodist in Carlisle for twenty-two years; and if he will reconsider his decision in the light of Mrs. Smith's ability and experience as a practitioner.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. Richard Thompson)

This case, about which my hon. Friend has written to me, is being re-examined, and I will write to him as soon as possible.
