HC Deb 04 March 1958 vol 583 c947
13. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Minister of Works if the normal facilities for the general public to visit Stonehenge will be maintained while the work of restoration of the fallen trilithons is in progress.

Mr. Molson

I do not propose to close Stonehenge while the restoration work is in progress, but the working area will be fenced off.

Mr. Fletcher

Nevertheless, may we take it that there will be adequate facilities for the general public, who are interested in this project, to see and be informed about what is taking place?

Mr. Molson

Yes, Sir; I certainly intend that that should be so. I have done all I can to keep both the House and the public informed of the interesting work that we are doing.
