asked the President of the Board of Trade what action is proposed to be taken on the Report of the Committee which inquired into the Law of Bankruptcy and Deeds of Arrangement.

The Committee's Report, which covers a wide and complex field of legislation, is still under consideration. I will make a statement as soon as I am in a position to do so.

Will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that some of the recommendations of this Committee repeat the recommendations made by an earlier Committee as long ago as 1906, so that there has been, therefore, a certain amount of delay?
