§ Sir I. HorobinI beg to move, in page 77, line 32, to leave out sub-paragraph (3) and to insert:
(3) Subsection (5) of section twenty-three of this Act shall apply for the purposes of subparagraph (1) of this paragraph as it applies for the purposes mentioned in that subsection; and subsection (6) of that section shall apply in relation to the last preceding sub-paragraph as it applies in relation to subsection (2) of that section.This fulfils an undertaking to correct a drafting mistake upon which both we and the hon. Member for Lewisham, North (Mr. MacDermot) took preliminary shots without success.
§ Mr. MacDermotI think that this is a case in which the Minister can legitimately claim that his Amendment is effective and satisfies everybody.
