HC Deb 11 June 1958 vol 589 c184
8. Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress has been made during the last year in the devolution of the work of his Department in Wales; what new Welsh officers have been appointed; what progress is contemplated during the next twelve months; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Watkinson

I hope at an early date to appoint a senior officer to represent me generally in Wales. It will be his responsibility among other things to report to me the Welsh interest and views on any matter which may have a particular impact on the Principality.
