HC Deb 30 July 1958 vol 592 c1334
6. Mr. Gower

asked the Postmaster-General how many applications for telephones were outstanding in the Borough of Barry at the latest convenient date; how many were outstanding a year ago; and how many such applications were first made more than two years ago.

Mr. K. Thompson

At the beginning of this month, 108 applications were outstanding, of which 40 were in course of being met. A year ago, there were 180 applications outstanding. In that period 150 telephones have been installed. Twenty applications were over two years old, but all these should be cleared shortly.
