HC Deb 21 July 1958 vol 592 c16
25. Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations have been received from the Soviet Government with regard to the receipt by the Soviet Ambassador of letters containing threats to drop atomic bombs in the vicinity of the United Kingdom; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Ian Harvey

None, Sir. Photostat copies of three such letters received by the Soviet Embassy have been shown to the Foreign Office and the matter is being investigated.

Mr. Henderson

Are the authorities still trying to track down the perverted mind responsible for these letters?

Mr. Harvey

The police are carrying out an investigation.
