HC Deb 09 July 1958 vol 591 cc371-2
6. Mr. Brockway

asked the Minister of Labour what decision was reached at the 42nd Conference of the International Labour Office on international action to establish occupational health services in places of employment.

Mr. Iain Macleod

The Conference adopted a series of general conclusions directed towards a recommendation on the organisation of health services in places of employment and decided to place the question on the agenda of its next session for a second discussion.

Mr. Brockway

While thanking the right hon. Gentleman for that reply, may I ask him to inform us whether the I.L.O. has been supplied with a copy of the recent report on industrial health services in this country, and particularly whether its attention has been drawn to what, if I may say so, is the admirable pioneer work done at the Slough Industrial Health Centre?

Mr. Macleod

Yes, Sir, I am confident that it has a copy, but I will make sure.
