asked the Minister of Health whether he will make a statement on the Hinchliffe Committee's Report on Prescribing.

I cannot as 'yet add anything to my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Dover (Mr. Arbuthnot) on 16th June.

Would the right hon. and learned Gentleman say when he expects to be in a position to say something more on the matter, which, I think he will realise, interests hon. Members on both sides of the House?

Mr. Walker-Smith

Yes. I shall be in a position to make a more precise statement as to the implications of the more detailed recommendations of the Interim Report when my consultations with the British Medical Association and other professional bodies are complete.
