Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to confer powers to meet deficiencies in the supply of water due to exceptional shortage of rain and to revoke, with savings, Defence Regulations 50A and 56, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of any administrative expenses incurred by the Minister of Housing and Local Government or the Secretary of State in consequence of the passing of the said Act of the present Session, and
  2. 1774
  3. (b) of any increase attributable to the provisions of the said Act of the present Session in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under Part I of the Local Government Act, 1948, or the Local Government (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act, 1954, as amended by the Valuation and Rating (Scotland) Act. 1956—[Mr. J.
