asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the approximate total amount of the initial allowances claimed annually on motor cars used for all such business purposes as entitle the owner to claim this relief.

Will my hon. Friend bear in mind that this relief gives very little encouragement to industry and very substantial encouragement to demand inflation—something which might very well be reduced?
