Resolution reported, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide for the termination of certain emergency powers and to make certain provision in substitution therefor, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—
    1. (i) of any expenditure attributable to the provisions of the said Act incurred by any Minister of Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom or by the Admiralty; and
    2. (ii) any increase so attributable in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under Part I of the Local Government Act, 1948, or the Local Government (Financial Provisions) (Scotland) Act, 1954, as amended by the Valuation and Rating (Scotland) Act, 1956;
  2. (b) the payment into the Exchequer of any amounts recovered under the said Act by any such Minister or by the Admiralty.
