34. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Minister of Defence to what extent he is using the Decca system for the defence of Great Britain and British shipping and aircraft.

Mr. Sandys

The Decca navigational system is used in all Her Majesty's ships and in certain military aircraft operating in areas where the necessary ground facilities are available.

Mr. Hughes

Is the Minister aware that I am very satisfied about the reply, and I am sure that all mariners will be also.

Mr. Sandys

I am very glad indeed to satisfy the hon. and learned Member for once.
