§ 60. Mr. Callaghanasked the Paymaster-General if he will give an assurance that the present plans for increased coal exports will utilise fully the facilities of Cardiff Docks.
§ Sir I. HorobinIt is not possible to give an assurance about the effect of an increase in exports on particular ports since the choice of port is a matter for commercial decision.
§ Mr. CallaghanCan the Minister at least ask the National Coal Board not to discriminate against Cardiff as it has done hitherto in the matter of exports?
§ Sir I. HorobinI could not accept the view that the Coal Board has been guilty of any discrimination of that kind. Perhaps the hon. Gentleman would get in touch with the Coal Board—I will give him the address, if necessary.
§ Mr. CallaghanIs the hon. Gentleman aware that I did that a long time ago and I should not have troubled him had I got satisfaction from the Board?
