§ 2. Dame Irene Wardasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs who were the official British delegates at the Conference at Liège on the possibility of producing a history on international resistance; and what decisions were taken.
§ The Joint Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. John Profumo)No official British delegation attended the International Conference at Liège on the history of European resistance. There was, however, an unofficial British delegation which attended the Conference on behalf of the Special Forces Club. I understand that the Conference decided to set up a provisional international committee on the history of European resistance.
§ Dame Irene WardWhile thanking my hon. Friend for that answer, may I ask whether the British unofficial delegation will participate and what documents they will have to put before the international conference?
§ Mr. ProfumoHer Majesty's Government will give sympathetic consideration to any request for assistance.
