§ 20. Mr. A. Hendersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a further statement on the discussions which are taking place with regard to the future status of Berlin.
Commander NobleMy right hon. and learned Friend discussed the question of Berlin with the Foreign Ministers of the United States, France and the Federal Republic of Germany yesterday in Paris. Hon. Members will have seen the communiqué which was issued following that meeting. The question is also to be discussed tomorrow with our Allies at the Ministerial Meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
§ Mr. HendersonIn view of the unusual legal position which has arisen as a result of the unilateral repudiation by the Soviet Government of their obligations under the Quadripartite Agreement, are the Government considering proposing that the legal aspects of this problem should be referred to the International Court?
Commander NobleAll aspects of this problem will be considered, but I do not think that I should say anything further today in view of the meeting tomorrow.
