HC Deb 08 December 1958 vol 597 c12
10. Mr. P. Wells

asked the Minister of Health what he intends to do to relieve the shortage of hospital accommodation in East Kent.

Mr. R. Thompson

It is for the South-East Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board in the first instance to consider whether additional accommodation is needed. I am informed that it has reviewed the South East Kent area and does not consider any is needed at present; and that it is now reviewing the Canterbury area, where 20 additional beds have recently been opened.
