I beg to move, in page 15, line 36, at the end to insert: (2) In the application to the administrative county of London of subsection (4) of section eight of this Act, for the reference therein to Part IV of the principal Act there shall be substituted a reference to sections one hundred and forty-four and one hundred and forty-five of the Public Health (London) Act, 1936. We discussed at some length in Committee the various inter-relations of these matters as they affected London, so there is, perhaps, no need for me to go into them now. The new subsection (4) which the House has just agreed to insert into Clause 8 relates to all slaughterhouses affected by Part IV of the 1955 Act. Part IV of that Act does not at present apply to London, and this new subsection merely applies the same provision to the Public Health (London) Act, 1936, which governs these matters in London.
