asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the amount of the financial help provided by the Government in building new factory space to rent in each year from 1946; and what percentage of that was spent in Scotland.

Capital expenditure on factory building in Development Areas by the Board of Trade under the Distribution of Industry Acts has totalled £70 million since 1946, of which Scotland's share has been 35 per cent. I will, with permission, circulate details in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
