asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has come to a decision on claims for compensation from Scottish fishing vessels whose nets have been damaged in recent incidents with foreign ships.

A claim in respect of loss suffered by one Scottish trawler has been sent to Her Majesty's Embassy in Moscow for transmission to the appropriate Soviet authorities. Claims in respect of two Scottish drifters are being examined.
