ThompsonThe time of receipt at the local office is usually written in on the delivered copy of telegrams, but this practice is not invariably followed and consideration is being given to discontinuing it. The time of handing in of a telegram is included in the preamble to the text and shows the recipient how long the telegram has taken to reach him. It is not proposed to alter this arrangement.
