HC Deb 21 May 1957 vol 570 c1014
17. Mr. Hannan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has now considered the First, Second and Third reports of the Law Reform Committee for Scotland; and when it is proposed to introduce legislation to give effect to the recommendations.

Mr. Maclay

In agreement with my right hon. and learned Friend the Lord Advocate, I have invited comments from the interests concerned on the First and Third Reports. As regards the Second, the Law Reform Committee is being asked to consider certain other points relating to sheriff court procedure. I regret that I am not yet able to say when legislation will be possible.
