§ 34. Mr. Elwyn Jonesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been drawn to the United States offer of a cash loan of 30 million dollars to Poland for the purchase of American mining equipment and agricultural machinery; and whether he will provide credit or other facilities to Poland to enable British manufacturers of mining equipment, tractors and agricultural machinery to enter the Polish market on equal terms wih their American competitors.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftI understand the negotiations between the United States and Poland on economic aid are still in progress. Her Majesty's Government are not themselves in a position to provide the Polish Government with special credit facilities but the normal facilities of the Exports Credits Guarantee Department are available to United Kingdom exporters to Poland.
