§ The Minister of Labour and National Service (Mr. Iain Macleod)Between December, 1951, and December, 1956, the average level of prices of children's clothing rose by about 1 per cent. and the average for children's footwear fell by about 3 per cent. During the same period there was an average rise of about 4½ per cent. in the prices of household durable goods.
