asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is now in a position to announce the names of those members he has appointed to the Clean Air Council as provided for by the Clean Air Act, 1956.

Mr. H. Brooke

The constitution of the Clean Air Council is set out in an Order which I have laid before Parliament today. The Order provides that the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Power are to be the Vice-Chairmen of the Council. I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names of those who have accepted invitations to serve as members of the Council, and whom I now propose to appoint.
