14. Mr. Mawby

asked the Minister of Health what proportion of the total number of dental courses were in 1956, or the latest convenient period, provided to the classes exempt from payment of charges, of patients under 21 years of age and expectant and nursing mothers.

Mr. Vosper

In 1956, 44.6 per cent. were for patients under 21 years of age, and 4.4 per cent. for expectant and nursing mothers.

15. Mr. Mawby

asked the Minister of Health what was the number in 1956, or the latest convenient period, of dental courses involving fillings in permanent teeth; whether this was higher or lower than in 1955 or the comparable period; and by how much.

Mr. Vosper

About 4,630,000 in 1956, which was 385,000 more than in 1955.
