HC Deb 19 March 1957 vol 567 c218
Mr. Callaghan

(by Private Notice) asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will make a statement on the future of Cyprus.

The Secretary of State for the Colonies (Mr. Alan Lennox-Boyd)

I intend to make a statement tomorrow.

Mr. Callaghan

In view of that, and to avoid prejudicing the matter in any way, I suggest that we should postpone further questions until we have heard the Colonial Secretary's statement, Mr. Speaker.
