§ 40. Sir R. Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what progress has been made in housing in British Guiana during the last three years; and what proportion of these loans has been financed through the British Guiana Credit Corporation.
§ Mr. ProfumoSince 1954, over 7,000 houses have been built under Government and private schemes. A further 1,800 are in varying stages of construction. Credit Corporation loans amounted to £1.3 million, representing about two-thirds of the total borrowing during this period.
