§ 26. Mr. Grimondasked the Minister of Health if he will draw the attention of the hospital boards to the undesirability of describing hospitals as hospital and home for incurables.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganThis is a matter for the hospital authorities themselves, but so far as I am aware the word "incurable" does not now appear in the name of any National Health Service hospital.
§ Mr. GrimondWhile appreciating that this is a matter for the hospital authorities, it appears that certain well-known hospitals still have such names which can have very unfortunate psychological results.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganWhich homes does the hon. Gentleman have in mind? There are four of which I know, but all are outside the National Health Service.
