asked the Postmaster-General what action he proposes to take to improve television reception in west Cornwall.

Mr. Marples

The B.B.C. is developing a low-power television transmitter which it hopes will prove useful in areas such as west Cornwall; but it cannot yet say what the possibilities will be.

Mr. Hayman

If this kind of transmitter seems to be the only solution for west Cornwall, will the Minister do what he can to get the B.B.C. to speed up its provision?

Mr. Marples

Yes, I will have a word with those responsible.
