Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to enable effect to be given to certain international conventions done at Geneva on the twelfth day of August, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any sums required by the Secretary of State for making payments in respect of fees and disbursements to any solicitor or counsel assigned to watch over the interests of an accused person in pursuance of a direction of the court given by virtue of the said Act.—[Mr. Simon.]
