HC Deb 10 July 1957 vol 573 cc349-50
3. Mr. Green

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what communication he has recently received from the Russian Government regarding their policy on the use of nuclear weapons.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

The Soviet proposals put forward on 30th April in the Disarmament Sub-Committee provide for an unconditional ban on the use of nuclear weapons from the beginning of a partial disarmament agreement. That is still, I believe, the position of the Soviet Union.
