asked the Minister of Defence if he will make a statement about the proposals for the reduction of the British forces on the Continent which have been presented to the Council of Western European Union.

44. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Minister of Defence to what extent he intends to reduce the British forces in Germany.

Will my right hon. Friend make sure that this statement is made to the House rather than to the Press?
