§ 14. Mr. Bellengerasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will attach a map to his memorandum accompanying the Army Estimates showing the disposition of British and Colonial Forces.
§ Mr. HareYes, Sir. But the right hon. Gentleman will realise that in doing so we shall have to bear in mind security considerations.
§ Mr. BellengerI am much obliged to the right hon. Gentleman, but may I ask him not to fall below the standard set by his predecessor, who did publish a map showing roughly the disposition of our forces? I therefore hope that he will not do less than his predecessor did a few years ago?
§ Mr. HareI have got the map, and, as I have said, I will certainly try to do all I can on the lines which my predecessor set, but I must be advised by my experts on how far I can go, in view of security considerations.
