HC Deb 09 December 1957 vol 579 cc894-5
32. Dr. Johnson

asked the Minister of Health whether he will implement the recommendation of the Franks Committee that he should give reasons for his decision in cases of appeal from the Medical Practices Committee in respect of selections made for general practice vacancies.

Mr. Walker-Smith

I have already done so.

Dr. Johnson

May I thank my right hon. and learned Friend for this reply and express gratitude, in view of the fact that there has been dissatisfaction amongst outside applicants for vacancies, which is emphasised by the figures which he recently supplied to me of practitioners in the same area who have filled these vacancies for practices?
