41. Mr. Blenkinsop

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will announce any reduction of the Redesdale, Warcop, and Okehampton military training areas.

Mr. J. Amery

These areas will be included in the further review of Army land requirements which, as my right hon. Friend has said, will take place when our plans for the future are settled. I have nothing to announce now.

Mr. Blenkinsop

Would the hon. Gentleman be willing to consider further representations, in view of the possibility of giving a greater relief by a quite modest alteration in some boundaries, and so restore to public access some of the finest country in Britain?

I shall be glad to consider any representations.
