asked the Secretary of State for War what arrangements or commitments have been made by his Department for future trooping operations by the Britannia aircraft now on order for Her Majesty's Government.

Arrangements and contracts for Army air trooping are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air, to whom I see the hon. Gentleman has put down an identical Question today.

Mr. Beswick

Can we take it that the Secretary of State for War knows who is to be responsible for trooping operations?

Mr. Hare

I suggest that the hon. Gentleman wait for the reply from my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air.
