§ 46. Mr. Swinglerasked the Prime Minister what scientific advice on thermonuclear physics was available to him at Bermuda.
§ The Prime MinisterAlthough I did not take a posse of scientists with me to the Conference, all the necessary information based on their work was available to me and my advisers.
§ Mr. SwinglerIs the Prime Minister aware that very distinguished physicists, for example Professor Rotblat on the B.B.C. yesterday, are still telling the public that it is impossible to make a hydrogen bomb explosion without detection, because it is composed both of fission and fusion reaction? Would the right hon. Gentleman therefore be more forthcoming and tell us specifically on what scientific authority he made the extremely serious statements which he made yesterday?
§ The Prime MinisterI made them on the authority of the scientific information made available to me through the Ministry of Defence.
