asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the post of Resident in Eastern Nigeria and Western Nigeria has now been abolished.

In the Eastern Region the post of Resident has been abolished but the number of senior posts of equivalent rank remains unchanged. In the West the posts have not been abolished but the title has been changed to Provincial Adviser.
