HC Deb 31 October 1956 vol 558 c1418
4. Mr. G. Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now able to make a statement about the establishment of a broadcasting station in Gibraltar.

24. Major Wall

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he intends to authorise the reopening of Radio Gibraltar.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I have now received from the Gibraltar Government a fresh proposal for a broadcasting station. This new proposal is not open to the objections to which the earlier one gave rise and I have gladly approved it.

Mr. Jeger

Would the Minister either place the particulars in the Library or publish them in HANSARD so that they may be seen?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Certainly, Sir.
