§ Mr. MaclayThe memorandum was submitted not to my right hon. Friend but to the Constitutional Commission. I am not aware of any reply having been sent, or, indeed, expected.
§ Mr. AwberyWill the Minister agree to implement the recommendations made by this body, namely, that the number of years served as chief of the state by the Malay Chief will be three years, instead of one year as originally suggested?
§ Mr. MaclayThe hon. Member will realise that this is entirely a matter for the Constitutional Commission, and we are still awaiting the Report of the Commission.
