HC Deb 25 October 1956 vol 558 c818
33. Mr. Dodds

asked the Minister of Education what complaints he has received in respect to the food served in the school meals service ; and what steps are taken by his Department to ensure a reasonable state of efficiency and satisfaction in this service in all districts.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Education (Mr. Dennis Vosper)

My right hon. Friend has not received any complaints of this sort. He prescribes the standards which the service is expected to follow and it is inspected by H.M. Inspectors of Schools, in addition to the supervision exercised by the local education authorities, who are directly responsible for its administration.
