§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerThe total disbursements by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees from 1948 until 30th June. 1956, amounted to 207,257,000 dollars.
During this period the Agency received 232,262,000 dollars, of which the United Kingdom contributed 43,235,000 dollars.
§ Mr. HyndIs the hon. Gentleman satisfied that the United Kingdom contribution compares favourably with those, for example, of the United States and the Soviet Union?
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerThe United States, of course, contributed over 157 million dollars and was the major contributor, but compared with Russia, which contributed nothing, I think that we have done rather well.
