§ 25. Mr. G. R. Straussasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress has been made in organising the compulsory testing of road vehicles.
§ Mr. WatkinsonMuch work has gone into the preparation of detailed proposals for the testing of vehicles as envisaged by Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Act, 1956. I hope to circulate an outline of these proposals in the near future to the organisations representing local authorities and other interested bodies, in order to prepare the way for full discussion.
