HC Deb 12 November 1956 vol 560 cc537-8
13. Mr. Simmons

asked the Minister of Health if he will set up a section of his Department to deal exclusively with the problems of the war disabled for which he has Ministerial responsibility.

Mr. Turton

I already have a section of my Department responsible for all the war pensioner services with which I am concerned.

Mr. Simmons

Will the Minister consider having, like the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance, a separate Parliamentary Secretary to be responsible for answering Questions in the House and for the work of his Department relating to war pensioners?

Mr. Turton

That is a matter for the Prime Minister rather than the Minister of Health.
