Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to vest in the Minister of Works certain underground works constructed in London during the recent war as air-raid shelters, together with other works connected therewith and land adjacent to those works; and for purposes connected with the matter aforesaid, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any expenses incurred by the said Minister under or by virtue of the said Act and any expenses incurred by him in maintaining the shelters and other works to which the said Act relates;
  2. (b) the payment into the Exchequer of any sums received by the said Minister by virtue of the said Act.—[Mr. Buchan-Hepburn.]
